WEP 2/2012: Giovanni Ouin (Beaucaire Chevaliers), Owen Ozanich (Rouen Huskies)

Posted on March 30, 2012March 30, 2012 by philipp

Co-winners this week, for the first time, two contenders obtained the same total of points, and also for first place, second place and third place in votes.

So, Giovanni Ouin (Beaucaire Chevaliers) and Owen Ozanich (Rouen Huskies) are named WEP2!

Giovanni Ouin took his first win for new D1-member Beaucaire. He launched a complete game (3 unearned runs) and allowed only 5 hits against the Toulouse Tigers batters in a complete game highlighted by 7 Ks. After 14 innings of work, he has no legitimate run with an ERA at 0.00.

Giovanni is a veteran in French Division 1. After a long time playing for Rouen Huskies (2002-2010), he signed with Beaucaire in National 1 division. His record in career is 29-5 with a 3.03ERA.

Owen Ozanich launched 7-shutout-innings against the Savigny Lions. Allowing only 6 batters to get on base (5 hits and one free pass), he stroke out 5 batters and got his second win of the season. Like Giovanni, after 12 innings in 2012, his ERA is still 0.00.

Owen has French/American citizenship and plays for Rouen Huskies since last year. He is yet invincible with a 4-0 record in French Division 1 (regular season).
