The WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship, the largest ever in event history, will go underway on Friday, July 15 in Surrey, Canada. 31 national teams have entered the 15th edition of the Women’s Softball World Championship. The tournament lasts through July 24.
European softball is represented with a record-high 11 representatives in the tournament: France, Austria, Israel, Serbia, Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Greece and Italy. Eight pools have been formed with three to four teams during the first round. Japan is the defending champion.
All 124 games will be live-streamed through worldsoftball.tv for a one-time fee of nearly 20 USD. Live play by play is available for all games as well.
