Catcher Vincent Parisi returns to the Italian Baseball League and Danesi Nettuno. The 32-year-old is going to split time behind the plate with Spanish national teamer Dewis Navarro. Born in Salem, Oregon, Parisi began his Italian career in 2002. Until coming to Nettuno in 2007 he played for Parma and T&A San Marino.
In 331 IBL games so far Parisi has a batting average of .271 (OBP .359/SLG .354) with nine homeruns, 147 runs and 164 RBI. He also was part of the Italian National Team during the 2004 Olympics. After a demanding 2008 season he took the next year off and didn’t play in 2009.
