Undefeated FC Barcelona and Tenerife Marlins meet in Spain

Posted on April 10, 2009April 10, 2009 by philipp

fc-barcelona-pregameAfter both teams had mixed results at the European Cups in Italy, the two remaining undefeated clubs in the Spanish Division de Honor meet this weekend in Puerto Cruz for the first of two doubleheaders between these two this season. It is also going to be a duel of two dominating pitching staffs. BARCELONA with Homer Baez and Pedro Belmonte as starters gave up just two runs (1 ER) on 18 hits and ten walks in 44 innings. The number one options of the MARLINS, Leslie Nacar and Ivan Granados, combined to allow five runs (4 ER) on 26 hits and six bb in 35 innings. Due to the format in Spain without playoffs the meeting already could give either team a push towards the championship.
