#U18Euros Roster revealed for Dutch Junior National Team

The roster for the Dutch Junior National Team at next week’s U18 European Championship in Gijon, Spain has been revealed. The coaching staff with manager Eric de Bruin, hitting coach Bart Hanegraaff, pitching coach Robin van Doornspeek and talent coach Martijn Nijhoff has selected 19 players for the tournament, which will serve as qualifier for the 2017 U18 Baseball World Cup in Thunder Bay, Canada. The Netherlands will face host Spain, Czech Republic, Russia and Lithuania in the U18 Euros, which will be held from July 11 to 17. Italy is the defending champion.

Roster:

  • Pitchers – Donny Breek (DSS), Aaron de Groot (Tridents), Stefano Iannelli (Unicorns Rotterdam), Darryl Jamoena (Storks), Firensly Leito (Curacao), Scott Prins (Amsterdam Diamonds), Mic van de Ven (Twins), Morris Wieseman (Pioniers).
  • Catchers – Ties van der Beeke (DSS), Dylan Koster (HCAW), Koen Halderman (DSS)
  • Infielders – Menno Lenting (DSS), Julian Rip (UVV), Tommy van de Sanden (DSS), Delano Selassa (HCAW), Oliver Severino van der Wijst (Kinheim), Tijmen Takke (UVV).
  • Outfielders: Timo van Aanhout (Tsunami), Aldrich de Jong (Curacao), Devano Pieter (Kinheim)
