U18 European Championship Qualifier 2019 in Miejska Gorka: Results July 9, 2019

Three games were played on Tuesday at the U18 European Championship Qualifier 2019 in Miesjka Gorka, day two of the competition. Russia rebounded from Monday’s loss with a 16-0 shutout over Ukraine. Artem Logunov struck out eight in five two-hit innings. Ten combined runs in the second and third blew the score wide open.

Austria picked up their second win with a 15-4 rout against Hungary. Nine runs in the bottom of the fourth decided the outcome. Tobias Kiefer hit his second home run of the tournament. Tobias Werner scored three runs and drove in two. In the evening Slovenia prevailed 8-7 over host Poland. Slovenia scored all eight runs in the first three frames. Poland got within a run, but failed to tie the game.
