U18 European Championship 2018 in Grosseto: Results Day 3, July 11, 2018

Posted on July 12, 2018 by philipp

On day three of the U18 European Championship 2018 in Grosseto, Italy the teams from France, Netherlands, Spain and Italy celebrated wins. France came back from a 1-6 deficit against Great Britain to prevail 11-7. It was their second victory in three games, while the British team dropped to 1-2. Defending champion Netherlands moved to 2-0 with a 9-5 win over the Czech Republic. The Czech team was leading 5-3 after three frames but wasn’t able to score afterwards. Earning the tiebreaker over France the Czech Republic still has good chances to reach the semifinals.

In Group B Spain improved to 3-0 with a 17-4 blowout against Lithuania. Italy beat Germany 12-4 in the evening. The undefeated teams from Spain and Italy will meet on Thursday evening. Germany dropped to 0-2 and has only slim chances of returning to the semi-final. Germany finished third in the 2016 U18 European Championship.
