Germany became the only undefeated team in Group A of the Under-18 European Baseball Championship, but it took a walk-off grand slam from Jules Moser to defeat Spain. Emilio Götz also went yard for Deutschland in the extra-inning victory. In Group B, the Netherlands dominated Belgium, with Bradley Verwoest tossing four shutout innings, and remained joint-first in the pool after Italy came-from-behind in the game’s final inning to defeat France, despite not collecting a hit after the third.
The top slugfest of Day 2 saw Poland jump out to a 9-5 lead through three frames, only for Baseball Czechia to respond with 11 runs across the fourth through sixth innings. In an opposite result, debutants Hungary built a large lead through three, and narrowly held on to defeat archrival Austria in its first win at a U18 Baseball Euros. After a big Day 1, Márkó Morua had a walk and three hits, including two doubles, driving in two more and scoring three times. Lastly, Great Britain bounced back from a Day 1 loss with a 14-4 mercy-rule victory over Israel, powered by a George Evans home run and 2.1 hitless, shutout innings by Ben Peters.
