Donald LUTZ and Ludwig GLASER signed Minor League contracts. Both are currently playing for Regensburg. The two will join fellow German prospects Rodney GESSMANN and Jannel HUDSON in the United States.

LUTZ will play for the Cincinnati Reds organization. The first baseman/outfielder led all players in second league baseball in Germany with a batting average of .506 with six home runs and 39 RBI in 24 games. He is 18 years old and will start his professional career this fall, with games in the instructional league in Florida.

GLASER is hitting .330 with three homeruns, 23 runs, 25 RBI in 26 games for the first Legionäre team. The 19-year-old third baseman signed with the Los Angeles Angels franchise. He will begin playing next spring at the rookie level in the Arizona Summer League.

GESSMANN (since spring 2007) and HUDSON (will also play in instructional league this fall) are pitchers, who are assigned to minor league affiliates from the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox.
