Another Dutch player is cashing in from the 2017 World Baseball Classic. After Jair Jurrjens and Shairon Martis also Tom de Blok has inked a minor league contract with a MLB organization. He has signed with the Detroit Tigers and got assigned to Class A. The 20-year-old right-handed reliever was supposed to be L&D Amsterdam’s closer this year. Its going to be his second stint with a MLB organization. Three years ago he ended his first experience voluntarily after some extended spring training time with the Seattle Mariners.
