Tim Stewart expected to stay in Savigny. Three Huskies to PUC?

Posted on February 5, 2010 by philipp

Bafinfos.com reported on Tuesday that it is likely that Tim Stewart will stay with the Savigny Lions, even though nothing is official at this point. The 25-year-old infielder/pitcher, who went to UCLA, batted .270 (OBP .356/SLG .378) with four doubles, ten runs scored and seven RBI in ten games during the regular season. He also had a 3-0 record with an ERA of 0.81 and 27 strikeouts (13 walks) in 22 1/3 innings. Stewart came from Paris UC to Savigny.

Speaking of PUC. According to Bafinfos.com the French record champion could add three players from the Rouen Huskies to the 2010 roster. Nicolas Dubaut (.250/.371/.278), Flavien Peron (.321/.442/.381) and Olivier Israel (.321/.473/.411) are expected to join the club. All three definitely would help the team. PUC is a strong candidate to return to the French Elite League since two spots in the eight-team field are still open.
