The Therwil Flyers have won the Swiss Baseball Championship 2019. They beat the Zurich Challengers 3-1 in the best-of-5 final series in the Swiss Nationalliga A. After taking a 2-0 lead following 3-2 and 4-3 wins in games one and two, Zurich avoided the sweep with a 7-6 nailbiter in game three. But in game four Therwil prevailed 6-2 to celebrate the title at the home of the Challengers at the Zurich Heerenschürli. In the semifinals Therwil had beaten the Zurich Barracudas, while the Challengers eliminated the Lucerne Eagles.
