Tenerife Marlins win Junior Championship in Spain

From July 1st to 4th the Spanish Junior Baseball Championship took place at the ballparks of Baseball Navarra in Burlada, CD Amaya and in Irabia. The TENERIFE MARLINS defended their title with a 5-1 win against HERCULES L’HOSPITALET in the finals on Saturday. Yanfran Martin struck out eleven in a nine-inning complete game to lead his team. He allowed just three hits, a run and five walks. ANTORCHA finished in third, right in front of the FC BARCELONA. Twelve teams took part in the competition.
