Tenerife Marlins win Championship in Spanish Division de Honor

The Tenerife Marlins have won the championship in the Spanish Division de Honor. They split a doubleheader against the Astros Valencia last Saturday to clinch the title on the 16th of 18 game days thanks to a five-game advantage over CBS Sant Boi in the standings. Yancarlo Franco went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in the decisive 10-2 win in game two of the twin bill. Leslie Nacar pitched a complete game. It’s the seventh championship for the Marlins and the second in a row.
