The Czech Baseball-Extraleague club Tempo Titans acquired a new player to reinforce the roster for the upcoming season. Utility man Charles Magedanz played for a Division-I College in the past and is arriving in Prague at the end of March for the complete 2009 season.
The 25-year-old American attended the North Dakota State University between 2004 and 2006. His batting average varied between .304 (2006) and .360 (2004). The past two summers, he also played in a highly competitive summer league in the US. During most of his college career, Magedanz played shortstop but he is also ready to do some pitching if needed.
Beside Magedanz, the Titans announced also three other signings. Infielder Patrik Kolkus (32), a former national team player, who spent the last couple of years playing Softball in Czech highest division, joins the club. Two other players from the Louny Loonies should also be able to bring strength to the lineup: Michal Kriz (20) and Jan Ruzek (24).
