Rouen Huskies – Montpellier Barracudas 2-6, 6-3
The 2007 French champion HUSKIES does have some troubles to get going this season. Last weekend they had to settle for their third split of the year, though they still are tied in second with a 5-3 record. They lost the first game this weekend against MONTEPELLIER thanks to a brilliant performance by BARRACUDAS pitcher Eduard Masse. He allowed just two runs on six hits and a walk in a complete game. He struck out eight. ROUEN had taken a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a two-run single by David Gauthier. But MONTPELLIER came right back, scoring three runs in the top of the fifth. They added three more until the end and won 6-2. Jean Michel Mayer had three hits. Jason Kosow got the start for the HUSKIES. He gave up five hits, three runs and four walks in five innings, while striking out ten. Keino Perez closed out the game.
ROUEN stormed back in the second match. They scored fast and took a 5-1 lead after three periods and defeated MONTPELLIER 6-3. Alexandre Sochon started and provided the much needed solid performance. He gave up six hits, two runs and two walks in six innings, striking out six. Giovanni Ouin got the save after three one-hit innings of relief. Thomas Meley was charged with two runs on two hits, a walk and two hit batters in one-plus innings for the loss. Offensive wise Luc Piquet and Randy Perez (both ROU) impressed with each three hits.
Savigny Lions – Templiers Senart 3-6, 2-5 (12)
The top game in the French Elite League took place in Savigny sur Orge, just a few kilometres in the south of Paris. The LIONS faced the TEMPLIERS and the guests went home with two victories and the first place in the standings with a 7-1 record. They won the first game by a score of 6-3 and needed to twelve innings to prevail 5-2 in the second part of the doubleheader. SAVIGNY dropped into a tie for second place in the standings.
La Guerche Hawks – Clermont-Ferrand 0-12, 10-1

The twin bill between the ARVERNES and the HAWKS in La Guerche featured two different games. In the first one CLERMONT-FERRAND dominated on all ends. They scored seven runs in the first four frames on their way to an easy 12-0 victory. Doug Grant (7 IP) and Brett Murray combined for a two-hit shutout. Brice Lorienne hit a homerun in the seventh.
But something must have happened between the two matches. LA GUERCHE without a chance in the first part, scored ten runs on 14 hits in the second. Although the ARVERNES helped them with seven errors. Gaetan Le Poupon was responsible for the highlight of the game with a two-run homerun in the fifth.
Stade Toulouse – Paris UC 6-4, 10-2 (5)
STADE won both games against PARIS and moved into a three-way tie with ROUEN and SAVIGNY. TOULOUSE needed eight innings in the first match to score the go-ahead runs. The second was hindered by rain and was called after the fifth inning.
why is it that your article about Senart being in first place begins with and is mostly about Rouen?

Sorry, we would liked to get more information on the Senart-Savigny-Game. But that was not the case.
