Posted on May 25, 2011May 25, 2011 by philipp

Telemarket Rimini

The Italian Baseball League club has released the Czech left-hander Jan Rehacek. The former Minor Leaguer with the Minnesota Twins organization had an ERA of 3.38 in five games this season. He allowed just two runs in 5 1/3 innings, but on six hits and a whopping eleven walks. He struck out one. The 25-year-old also has pitched for Arrows Ostrava in the Czech Extraleague and Konica Minolta Pioniers in the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

Cariparma Parma

Baseballnow, a baseball blog in Italy, is speculating that Cariparma Parma is looking for a replacement for foreign starting pitcher Jesus Silva, who has missed the last couple of starts due to an undisclosed injury. Apparently one candidate to fill this role would be Kasey Olenberger, who already played in Parma in the past. His father is currently managing Telemarket Rimini. Silva has a 1-2 record with an ERA of 1.47 in three starts this season. He struck out 18 in 18 1/3 innings, walking seven.
