Technika rallies to beat Skokani in Extraleague

Posted on August 21, 2008 by philipp

After the series of rain outs last weekend in the Czech Extraleague, a few games were already made up this week. Leader Draci Brno played three games in three days, taking three victories to solidify first place in the standings.

On Wednesday Technika Brno hosted Skokani Olomouc. Technika fell behind Skokani 6-1 in the fifth inning, but rallied to get within one at 6-5 in the eighth inning. Jacub Vancura led off with a double and scored on a bunt and an error to tie the game and then Jon Dobyns hit a three-run homerun to give Technika the 9-6 win. Technika moved to 13-12 while Skokani Olomouc drops to 11-10. Michael Koci picked up the win with five innings of relief, allowing one run.

The schedule in the Extraleague resumes on Saturday and Sunday with a full set of doubleheaders.
