The Italian Baseball League was on break for the European Champions Cup, where DANESI NETTUNO defended its title from last year in an inner-Italian final against FORTITUDO BOLOGNA. Back in the IBL a playoff berth isn’t a sure thing for NETTUNO. They are currently tied with CARIPARMA PARMA and T&A SAN MARINO with 17-13 records, but only two of them would play in the postseason, if the regular season would end today. NETTUNO and PARMA will play against each other this week, while SAN MARINO has to battle with leader TELEMARKET RIMINI.
BOLOGNA opens the new game day in the IBL tonight on Rai Sport Più against PALFINGER REGGIO EMILIA. MONTEPASCHI GROSSETO will take on DE ANGELIS GODO in a three-game series, starting on Friday.
