Four Teams for three Playoff Spots in Dutch Hoofdklasse

Posted on July 23, 2009 by philipp

Two weeks are left on the schedule of the regular season in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. After last week’s sweep by DOOR NEPTUNUS against L&D AMSTERDAM it is safe to say, that the club from Rotterdam already can start preparations for the playoffs, as they bolster a four-game lead over second place and are six ahead of CORENDON KINHEIM. However behind them everything is wide open. AMSTERDAM, KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS, SPARTA/FEYENOORD and KINHEIM battle for the three remain berths, being separated by two games.

SPARTA/FEYENOORD has the toughest job this week, facing NEPTUNUS in a three-game series and having to play the make-up game against KINHEIM next Tuesday. The club from Haarlem can reduce the deficit in a series against ADO. The PIONIERS take on MR COCKER HCAW and the PIRATES play against MEDIA MONKS RCH.
