With a two-month delay, Switzerland’s top domestic league, the Nationalliga A (NLA), will start play this weekend, along with the country’s second division, the Nationalliga B (NLB).

The seven-team NLA starts play on Saturday, with the Luzern Eagles hosting the Wil Pirates in doubleheader action. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 (CEST), which is also when the Zurich Challengers and Hünenberg Unicorns, the league’s newcomers after promotion from the NLB, start play in Zurich. The Challengers will be streaming live, with the stream on offer at www.baseballsoftball.live.

On Sunday, the Therwil Flyers, the two-time defending champion and winner of five of the past seven Swiss championships, host the Bern Cardinals.

The league’s seventh team, the Zurich Barracudas, start play June 12.
