Swiss NLA: Results August 10&11

In the Swiss Nationalliga A the duel between the Bern Cardinals and the Therwil Flyers highlighted the game day this weekend.

The Flyers won game one 6-2 behind seven strong innings of Lucas Croton, who issued eight hits, two runs and a walk. Javier Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Flyers, which scored four runs in the last three innings. Tobias Imboden struck out ten for the Cardinals in the loss.

In game two Bern scored four runs in the fifth and five in the eighth to win 10-1. Patrick Lawson collected 16 strikeouts in a complete game win. Samuel Paulino and Albert Marsknik combined for five hits, four doubles, five runs and two RBI to spark the offense.

In the other two matchups on the weekend the Embrach Mustangs celebrated a pair of lopsided wins over the Wil Devils, the Zurich Barracudas swept the Zurich Challengers and the Lucerne Eagles split against the Zurich Lions.
