The Swiss Nationalliga A is opening the 2017 season with three doubleheaders this upcoming weekend. After the Jona Bandits dropped out of the league seven teams will compete for the title. The Therwil Flyers enter the new year in Switzerland’s top division as the defending champion.
In a rematch of last year’s finals the Therwil Flyers will take on the Zurich Barracudas to open the season on Saturday. The Zurich Challengers take on the Lucerne Eagles. On Sunday the Sissach Frogs are guests to the Bern Cardinals. The Wil Devils have a bye in week one.
