The 2015 season in the Swedish Eltiserien started with a surprise, as the Swedish Academy stunned the Sundbyberg Heat with an 11-1 blowout on Wednesday evening. Already leading 4-1 a six-run seventh-inning turned the contest into a lopsided affair. Elvis Hammarstedt, Simon Tysk, Anders Stor and Tim Zetterqvist scored two runs apiece. Jakob Syren pitched four innings of one-hit ball with reliever Simon Andersson picking up the win. Alexander Johnsson got charged with the loss.
On Saturday Sundbyberg travels to Stockholm for a doubleheader against the reigning champion. Promoted Botkyrka takes on Goteborg. Sölvesborg squares off against Leksand.
