SUPERFUND Wanderers will meet Schwaz Tigers in Austrian Finals

Regular season winner SUPERFUND WANDERERS and the SCHWAZ TIGERS will play for the Austrian Baseball championship, starting next week. The WANDERES completed the three-game sweep in the semi-final series against the UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS on Saturday at home in Vienna with a 14-4 victory.

The TIGERS had to go the distance, edging out defending champion MOSQUITO ATHLETICS ATTNANG-PUCHHEIM. After the A’s won game three on Saturday 5-1, SCHWAZ prevailed 5-2 and 5-4 in matches four and five to reach the championship series. In the decisive fifth game they even overcame a 1-4 deficit.
