After winning the first two games of the best-of-five series in the Elitserien on home turf, STOCKHOLM won the Swedish Championship on Saturday with a 6-5 victory at the KARLSKOGA ballpark. A run in the eighth frame decided the outcome after a thrilling nine-inning affair.

The BATS had taken an early 2-0 lead in the first, but STOCKHOLM came back, scoring five unanswered runs in the third and fourth for a 5-2 advantage. KARLSKOGA rallied for a last time afterwards, tying the game in the seventh. But it was not enough, as STOCKHOLM countered with the winning run moments later. Joakim Claesson picked up his second win of the series. Kent Karlsson took the loss.

More in the coming days, as the box score gets available.
