After losing three games against the Rättvik Butchers last weekend, the Stockholm Monarchs returned to winning lane on Tuesday evening with an 11-8 win over Sundbyberg Heat. Sundbyberg took a 7-4 lead after four innings. But Stockholm answered with seven runs between the fifth and the eighth to turn the score around. Pontus Byström went 3-for-4 with three RBI. He also picked up the win on the mound with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Matt Merrifield went deep for Stockholm. Timor Kombarov collected four hits, two runs and three RBI for the Heat, while also hitting a home run. Moisses Pargas got charged with the loss. Both teams meet again on Wednesday evening.
