Defending champion Stockholm and the Karlskoga Bats will play in the Swedish Baseball Finals, starting this weekend in Karlskoga. Stockholm had won the regular season and rather easily moved through the top-six round and the following semi-finals against Tranås. The Bats were in second place after the first two round-robin rounds, but needed a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth to win a dramatic semi-final series against Sundbyberg Heat. Stockholm won three of the four games between these two teams this season. However championship series always have their own set of rules and we should expect a close one in Sweden too.
