Stock City Cubs, Rohrbach Crazy Geese qualify for Austrian Baseball League

The Stock City Cubs and the Rohrbach Crazy Geese finished the relegation/promotion playoffs in Austrian Baseball League in first and second and have secured a spot in the 2010 campaign. The Cubs had qualified a few weeks ago took first in the standings with an 8-4 record. The Crazy Geese sealed second place with a 22-6 rout in game one of their doubleheader against the Dornbirn Indians last Saturday. Besides the Indians, which get relegated after ten years in the ABL, the Vienna Diving Ducks also have to move down into second-division ball in Austria.

Relegation/Promotion Playoffs Standings:

  1. Stock City Cubs 8-4
  2. Rohrbach Crazy Geese 6-6
  3. Vienna Diving Ducks 5-7
  4. Dornbirn Indians 5-7
