Stefano Bazzarini could replace Chris Di Roma in Parma

Posted on November 27, 2007 by philipp

The Italian Serie A1 team Cariparma is interested in pitcher Stefano BAZZARINI according to the Gazzetta di Parma and baseball.it. He should replace Chris DI ROMA on the pitching staff. DI ROMA is leaving the team to play for Telemarket Rimini next season. BAZZARINI appeared in 16 games (one start) for Fortitudo Bologna. He had an ERA of 4.21 in 36 1/3 innings. He struck out 36.

Cariparma also finalized contracts with outfielder Michele GERALI and infielder Alessandro FANFONI. GERALI hit .150 in 120 at-bats for D’Angelis Godo in 2007. FANFONI hit .394 for the Serie A2 team Sala Baganza. He played mostly on the left side of the infield.

Besides DI ROMA, Marcello SACCARDI (to coach in Reggiana) and Federico COMELLI (retired) will leave the team.
