According to the Royal Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation, former Spanish national team pitcher Manuel Olivera has been appointed as new pitching coach for the Jupiter Hammerheads (Class A) of the Miami Marlins. The 36-year-old pitched three years in the Marlins organization between 2005 and 2007. He also played for the Texas State University as well as a couple of independent league teams.
