The Spanish Division de Honor played its fourth game day this weekend and the Tenerife Marlins swept the previous leader CBS Sant Boi 15-5 and 8-7. In game one Richard Montiel and Luis Miguel Munoz hit a couple of home runs and combined for seven RBI. Leslie Nacar struck out eight in six innings for the win. The second match was much closer, as the Marlins scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh en route to an 8-7 victory. Rafael Rivas drove in four for Sant Boi. Montiel had a go-ahead two-run home run in the rally.
CB Barcelona returned to the top of the standings with 7-1 and 9-0 wins over CD Pamplona. In the first game Ricardo Hernandez struck out ten in 7 2/3 innings to lead Barcelona to a 7-1 win. Alexis Fumero did his best to keep up with eight Ks in seven three-run innings. In the second game CBB celebrated a 9-0 shutout. Jorge Balboa and Jonathan Garcia combined for 12 strikeouts, while allowing just four hits. Pau Sancho had three hits and three RBI.
In the other two matchups the Baseball Navarra split a pair of games against San Inazio Bilbao 11-3 and 4-5, while CB Viladecans returned home from Gijon with 11-0 and 5-1 victories. The Astros Valencia had a bye this weekend.
