The Spanish team lost to the favourite Panama 0-5. The squad from Central America needed just one strong inning at the plate to decide the game.

They scored four runs in the sixth frame of the match. Angel CHAVEZ (2-4) brought the winning run in with a single. After that, they added three more through a three-run-homerun by Jonathan VEGA (2-4, 4 RBI).

Daniel FIGUEROA, Daniel MARTINEZ, Dewis NAVARRO, Miguel MORA and Nestor PEREZ had the hits for the Spanish squad.

Miguel GOMEZ started for Panama and received the win. He allowed four hits in five innings, striking out four.

Miguel A. RIZO began for Spain. He gave up only one hit in three innings. Remigio LEAL, who took the loss, relieved him. Ivan GRANADOS appeared also on the mound.
