The 27-year-old left-handed pitcher Philipp Dresel leaves the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE REGENSBURG and joins the HAAR DISCIPLES for the upcoming season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. He pitched the past two seasons for the reigning champion and before that for the FUERTH PIRATES. The club announced the acquisition on their website this weekend.
Dresel appeared in three games last year for REGENSBURG, allowing four hits, a run and two walks in 4 1/3 innings, striking out four. For their second team he started three matches in the 2nd Baseball-Bundesliga with a 2-0 record and an ERA of 1.93. He struck out 16 in 18 2/3 innings, while walking seven. He also has pitched for the German National Team in the past. Dresel will arrive right in time for the second game day of the new season at the beginning of April.
