The selection of the southern teams in the Hoofdklasse won the first ever All-Star Game in Dutch Baseball 7-4 against the north. In front of 800 people in the stands at the Leen Volkerijk Stadium in The Hague they scored four runs in the bottom of the third to decide the outcome early.
Eugene Kingsale and Percy Isenia hit two-run homeruns for the south. Dwayne Kemp went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a run and a RBI to receive the MVP award afterwards. Bryan Engelhardt scored twice for the north.
Leon Boyd started for the south and issued four hits, two runs and a walk in two innings. David Bergman began for the north and allowed one run on one hit and a bb in his two frames. Jean Paul Gulinck received the win for pitching a scoreless ninth. Joep de Wit took the loss.
Earlier on the day Percy Isenia won the homerun contest with ten long balls.
