Korea lost its first warm-up game prior to the 2017 World Baseball Classic 0-4 to the Yomiuri Giants on Sunday. Korea managed just four hits against the Giants. Won-Jun Chang got the start for Korea, pitching three perfect innings. Miles Mikolas took the mound for the NPB team. Their next exhibition will be on Wednesday against the Yokohama DeNA Bay Stars. They are currently in Okinawa for a training camp. After returning to South Korea they will play more warm-ups against Australia and Cuba. Korea faces the Netherlands, Chinese Taipei and Israel during first-round play at the WBC.
