The Solingen Alligators announced the signing of Shelby Robertson a couple of days ago. The 24-year-old American is replacing J.D. Sholten as foreign starter in game two each week in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. He is coming from the Czech Extraleague club Arrows Ostrava, where he collected 110 strikeouts and 34 walks in 141 innings. In the United States he played for the Yuma Scorpions and Tijuana Cimarrones in the independent Golden Baseball League. Travis Latz, who played for the Gauting Indians last year, recommended Robertson.
