The German Baseball-Bundesliga club Solingen Alligators announced on Thursday that they have added the 26-year-old infielder Luis Gil to the roster. The shortstop and third baseman has agreed to a four-week tryout with the Alligators and already was supposed to attend his first practice with the team on Thursday. He is from Chicago, Illinois, attended Trinity Christian College and played for the Chicago Zephyrs. Solingen hosts the Dohren Wild Farmers on Sunday.
