The Solingen Alligators have signed 27-year-old catcher Gerwuins Velazco. The Venezuelan is coming from the Rouen Huskies to the German Baseball-Bundesliga club. The Alligators already had added Swedish national team pitcher Jakob Syren from the De Glaskoning Twins in Oosterhout. Meanwhile Wilson Lee, Lars Anderson and Naoki Abe have left the team. Other key players like Daniel Sanchez, Ben Andrews, Giovanni Tensen, Nils Hartkopf and Dustin Hughes all return. Player-manager Wayne Ough will serve as starting pitcher in game two each week.
