The Sölvesborg Firehawks have won the Swedish Baseball Championship 2019. They swept the best-of-three finals series in the Swedish Elitserien 2-0 against the Rättvik Butchers. Sölvesborg dominated the finals with 11-3 and 15-0 wins on Saturday. Last week the Firehawks had defeated the Stockholm Monarchs 1-0 and 4-0 to reach the final, while the Butchers prevailed 2-1 (0-6, 5-0, 11-5) over the Sundbyberg Heat in the semifinals. It’s the second championship for Sölvesborg after 2017.
