Skovde Saints (Sweden) win Softball European B Cup

The Skovde Saints defeated the Titano Hornets to win the European Cup Women “B” Softball tournament held August 20-25 in Sant ‘ Arcangelo, San Marino. The host team Titano took home the silver medals.

The Saints steamrolled over the competition including Ballerup (21 to 0), London (10 to 0), Zurich (18 to 0), and Nika Dahl University (21 to 1) en route to winning nine out of 10 games and the tourney crown. The Hornets were 1-2 against Skovde and dealt the Swedish squad a 4-2 setback.

The final standings were:

1. Skovde Saints (Sweden)
2. Titano Hornets (San Marino)
3. Nika Dahl University (Ukraine)
4. Zurich Challengers (Switzerland)
5. London Angels (Great Britain)
6. Trnava Panthers (Slovakia)
7. Princ Zagreb (Croatia)
8. Golovec Dragons (Slovenia)
9. Maroussi 2004 (Greece)
10. Ballerup Vandals (Denmark)
