Indoor training week and clinic in Hungary
Last weekend the Hungarian Baseball and Softball Federation (MOBSSz – www.baseball.hu) hosted a very illustrious guest at the American School in Nagykovacsi (AISB – www.aisb.hu). Simon Gühring (Baseball-Reference) joined the Hungarian National Team coaching staff this past weekend during the Federation’s Winter Training Clinic. The captain of the German National Team, was invited to Hungary by MOBSSz to help making baseball more popular in the country and developing players of the Federation. Simon Gühring run a workout for junior and senior national teams on Saturday and worked with players during an open session on Sunday.

The MOBSSz Winter Clinic is a 9 days program run by volunteers and offers following free of charge activities to players and coaches:

– open training day for age 16 and over

– pitching clinic for all ages

– hitting clinic for all ages
Feb-24
– defense / catcher clinic for all ages

– indoor softball tournament

– softball national team practice & coaching clinic

– training day and indoor tournament for age 15 and under
Daily 15-25 players attended the open training day and clinics and another 80 players and 10 coaches registered for the last 3 days of the Winter Clinic. The weekend activities will be kicked off with a softball tournament on Friday evening and the whole event will be closed with the first ever indoor cadet baseball tournament in Hungary. MOBSSz plans this winter clinic to be a regular annual event in the future and hopes to expand to participants from neighbor countries!
