The Baltimore Orioles are bringing back Dutch infielder Sharlon Schoop. The 28-year-old from Willemstad, Curacao will enter his 11th season in affiliated minor league ball in 2016. He started his professional career with the San Francisco Giants in 2005. After a season with the Kansas City Royals in 2012 he joined the Orioles in 2014 and has been playing there in Double- and Triple-A since. Last year he batted .219/.280/.263 in 80 games in the Eastern and International Leagues. He should be teammates in the minors with Alex Liddi, who recently signed a minor league contract with Baltimore.
