Press release from WBSC Europe.

The schedules for the Men’s Baseball Champions Cup, Federation Cup, Confederation Cup and Federation Cup Qualifier 2022 have been announced.

The Champions Cup 2022 is taking place in Bonn, Germany. The top European club event will host eight teams battling for the title of European champion from Jun 7 to Jun 11, 2022.

Twenty games will be played over five days. The eight teams have been divided into two pools: 1949 Parma Baseball Club (ITA), L&D Amsterdam (NED), VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (GER), and Draci Brno (CZE) will play in Pool A; while BSC Bonn Capitals (GER), San Marino Baseball Club (ITA), Curacao Neptunus (NED) and Arrows Ostrava (CZE) will play in Pool B. The schedule is available on the tournament website.

The round robins will be followed by the semifinal round starting on Jun 10, and the finals will take place the day after, with the bronze medal game scheduled for 15:00 (CEST) and the championship game scheduled to start at 19:00 (CEST). The eighth-ranked nation will be relegated to the Confederations Cup in 2023.

In 2021, Parma Baseball Club claimed the European title, defeating the Bonn Capitals, 4-6, at Arrows Park in Ostrava, Czechia.

At the same time as the Champions Cup, the Confederation Cup 2022 will occur in Rouen, France, with the event scheduled to run from Jun 8 to Jun 12, 2022. Seven teams will take the field divided into two groups: Rouen Huskies (FRA), Hoboken Pioneers (BEL), and Vienna Metrostars (AUT) will play in Group A and Barracudas Montpellier (FRA), Tenerife Marlins (ESP), Olimpija Karlovac (CRO), and the Therwil Flyers (SUI) will play in Group B.

The semifinals of the event will take place on Jun 11, and the medal games on Jun 12. The winner nation of the 2022 Confederation Cup will advance to the 2023 Champions Cup. In 2022, no team will be relegated from this tournament. The schedule is available on the tournament website.

Last year, Draci Brno topped Sénart Templiers in the final, 6-4, to win the Confederation Cup 2021.

The Federation Cup 2022 is scheduled for Brasschaat, Belgium, from Jun 20 to Jun 25. The home team Brasschaat Braves (BEL), Astros Valencia (ESP), Sofia Blues (BUL), Diving Ducks (AUT), London Mets (GBR), and BioTexCom KNTU (UKR) will battle in the Flanders region for the title. The nations of the bottom three teams in the final standings will be relegated to the Federation Cup Qualifier in 2023. The schedule is available on the tournament website.

In 2021, the Brasschaat Braves won the event, topping the Vienna Wanderers (AUT), 3-7, in the championship game.

Divided into three groups, 16 teams will take part in the Federation Cup Qualifier 2022. Five teams will play in Kutno, Poland, from Jun 6 to Jun 11, and five teams will compete in Belgrade, Serbia, from June 21 to 26. In the same week, Sofia, Bulgaria, will host six teams. The winners of each group will advance to Federations Cup in 2023.
