Schedule set for European Champions Cup Series

Posted on July 2, 2015July 2, 2015 by philipp

The schedule has been set for the European Champions Cup Series between Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam and Unipol Bologna. The first game is scheduled for Thursday, August 6 in Bologna. Games two and three if necessary will be played on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9 in Rotterdam.

It will be the last time that the best club team in European Baseball will be determined in a final series, as the European Cups will be transformed from a two-tournament format with 12 teams overall to a one-tournament event with eight teams. Additionally a CEB Cup with eight teams and a Federations Cup with four six-team tournaments will be created.

Bologna and Rotterdam had won the European Cups in Paris and Rotterdam last month, edging out L&D Amsterdam and Draci Brno in the process.
