Utility infielder Milko JARAMILLO will join fellow Venezuelans Flores BOLIVAR (new manager) and Albert VARGAS (new pitcher) in their effort to strengthen the roster of Sant Boi for the upcoming season.
JARAMILLO will celebrate his 28th birthday on January 21. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela. The Los Angeles Dodgers signed him as an undrafted free agent in 1996. He appeared in 765 minor league games until 2006. He reached the Triple A level with the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers organisations in 2005 and 2006. He hit a combined .230 with a slugging percentage of .294 in his career. His defensive ability is considered as his biggest strength and explains, why he was in the minor leagues for such a long time, despite his poor performances at the plate. The shortstop is currently under contract of the Tigres de Aragua, a team of the Venezuelan winter league.
Sant Boi had finished in third place of the Spanish league last year and signed BOLIVAR and VARGAS a week ago.
