The San Francisco Giants with hitting coach and former Dutch National Teamer Hensley Meulens have succeeded the New York Yankees and won the 2010 World Series. On Monday Tim Lincecum struck out ten batters in eight strong innings to lead the Giants to a 3-1 victory over the Texas Rangers in the decisive fifth game of the best-of-seven series. Edgar Renteria, who hit a three-run homerun in the seventh, received the World Series MVP award. It is their first title for the team since 1954, when they were still playing in New York.
