The French Baseball and Softball Federation (FFBS) announced on Monday that they have appointed just retired San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy as new manager of the French Baseball National Team. He is asked toe guide the team through the upcoming World Baseball Classic cycle, which starts with the Qualification next year. The dates and locations for the next WBC haven’t been announced yet by Major League Baseball. Bochy managed the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants in the MLB. He won the World Series with the Giants three times. In 1996 he was named National League manager of the year. The 64-year-old was born in Landes de Boussac, France.
