Samuel Meurant continues Career with Templiers Senart

Posted on January 28, 2011January 27, 2011 by philipp

The 38-year-old right-handed starting pitcher Samuel Meurant is continuing his career and will take the mound for the Templiers Senart for a fifth consecutive season. However after breaking his arm being hit by a comebacker at the European Championship in Germany last July, he is going to miss the start of the season. In an interview with the Templiers website he revealed that the arm still hurts when touching the bone. He is scheduled for an examination on February 18 and hopes to return in late April. He had a 4-4 record with an ERA of 1.98 in nine appearances last year. He struck out 55 batters in 63 2/3 innings, while walking 17. He got injured in his last game for the French National Team.
