He revealed that he already made up his mind three months ago. He coached his team the last time this weekend, when they lost the Coppa Italia finals against Rimini. He began his career at the top level with Nettuno in April 1978, playing as a 15-year-old against Novara. He participated in three Olympic Games. His greatest joy was winning the title with Nettuno in 1990, when they beat Rimini in the Italian Series. He has been one of the most famous figures in Italian baseball.
